Oh boy I can’t wait for the totally original comments saying fuck Nintendo or talking about ninjas
With that image, I can only think of Donkey Kong having a distant cousin who went to law school named Attorney Kong
I don’t care.
They should hire people here on this subreddit because they sure talk like they’re experts when this topic is brought up.
Is Phoenix Wright available?
I know that Nintendo is trying to protect their properties, But Nintendo needs to stop being a sticky little butthead and let their fans have fun and be creative.
Why is this news? They probably already have multiple already.
They didn’t have one?
Don’t buy it. This reads like a scare tactic w/ the GaneFreak leak
Give me a few years and I can do it. lol
Nintendo on its way to fuck up fan projects, emulators etc even more.
They really want that worst company award that EA normally got
They are getting ready to ban emulation!!! Get them while you can boys!
Wait… in-house?? I would have figured they would hire some white-shoe law firm over in NYC like every other Silicon Valley firm does.
Strange news to me!

oh, yeah, like they don’t have *enough* lawyers…
Nintendo: “We are recruiting Ninjas”
I’d rather have a bunch of emulators than boxes that will become E-waste someday. Before Nintendo fans come at me: More people would legally buy their games regardless of what’s being used to run them, if they put the same effort in making their games widely available.
This isn’t news. Any company with IP is gonna have an IP lawyer.
It would be fun, but I’d have to move to America and like where I live (rural Japan). I actually really in joy “in house” legal work. My firm have had me work more or less entirely for one client at various times and one startup in particular was amazing. No idea what the work culture would be like though.
I did spend a long time having a long “we might interview you, please wait” period with Google as IP counsel, but I suspect I would not have enjoyed it at all.
A friend did work for Nintendo, but in hardware (and I think in Japan) so that is probably quite different.
New Kirby game confirmed!
$164,500-$296,000 base salary range. 😮💨

Objection!
Please make sure all your emulators are up to date
Game Freak dataleakers and Nintendo Switch pirates be like:
Breaking news, multi-billion dollar company owning some of the most valuable intellectual property in the entire world has lawyers. More at 11.
I’m actually an IP lawyer with the requisite experience… but I just can’t live in Washinton state. Would be so fun to work for Nintendo.
Did-did they not have one already?
Nintendo should start a rom hacks for kids program where they teach kids how to code by hacking Pokémon games.
This is news now? 🙄 Whats the next headline gonna be, ‘Nintendo Hires Graphics Designer?”
